Online Hearing Screening

Signs and symptoms of a hearing loss may include:

• Conversations sounds muffled or unclear.
• Difficulty understanding what others are saying in a crowd or when there is background noise.
• Frequently asking others for repetitions.
• The need to turn up the volume of the television and the radio.
• Avoiding social situations and withdrawal from conversations.
• Tinnitus, or hearing a ringing sound in your ears.

Use our online hearing test with confidence to confirm normal hearing, or a potential hearing loss.. This online hearing test requires good speakers and users should not use headphones as they can affect the accuracy of the results. Lastly, since it is an online hearing test, it is crucial that the test is carried out in a quiet environment.

What happens if you fail the screening test?

The first thing you should do is make an appointment with one of our audiologists for a detailed Pure Tone Audiometry Test. Undergoing this test will yield a Pure Tone Audiogram describing your hearing in each ear in detail.  Kindly note this screening test is not a substitute for a Pure Tone Audiogram

When should you see a doctor?

• If you notice a sudden loss of hearing, especially in one ear

  You must seek immediate medical attention in such situations. Do not wait, consult an ENT doctor as soon as possible.

• If you are experiencing dizziness and/or balance problems

  These maybe symptoms of an underlying condition that require the attention of an ENT specialist.

• Ear infections

  If you have ear pain, blocking sensation or ear discharge, it is not wise to wait or try home remedies. The sooner you consult an ENT specialist, higher the chance of fast recovery and reduced complications.
